Babalik Karin - Adventures of The Peso
I just love that song by Gary V. — Babalik Karin. I think everybody I know have at least heard that song once. And I think everybody I know are familiar about the song’s theme. It talks about the modern Filipino Heroes — the OFWs and all the Filipinos around the world.
But this is not about them — it is about this –
The Peso.
No one is blind about the economic slump that virtually almost all countries in the world are currently suffering. I think I’m taking this thing quite too seriously — you know — for not being blind and all. Why you asked? Because in every street and road, I tend to walk with the eyes on the pavement in hopes that I would be lucky enough to find a few thousands laying around.
On this faithful day, we were lucky enough. Although we did not came across a few thousands, we instead found a peso — 1 peso. Talk about getting your every peso further — well in this case — farther. Never thought that a peso would travel so far, got lost and eventually be found by it’s fellow Pinoy on a foreign land. As Gary V. would put it — Babalik Karin. And this peso sure did.
Now, what can I buy with this peso? Suggestions anyone?
